Our Food Safety
Southwest Ingredients Food Safety program
is an extremely important part of our total distribution system. All products are carefully ordered,
shipped to us, received, stored,
and shipped to our customers by lot number. Our ingredients are protected, inspected and maintained
safe. We have had total recall
capabilities for several years as well as safety programs that comply with
the Bioterrorism Act guidelines.
American Institute of Baking rated our program as “SUPERIOR” since the
auditing began in 2001. The key to this success has been our
team of employees and NAWF CO Personnel, all committed to our Food Safety
Program. We carefully examine
procedures, inspect and improve our program at our Monthly Food Safety
Meetings. Food Safety
training is an integrated part of our employee and support network training.
